We've made friends with a woman a few blocks from us who owns a 70 Gran Coupe.  She went to the showroom in 1969 to buy her a new barracuda, but the dealership just got a shipment of 1970's in and she fell in love with the new body style.  She bought the 70 and has been driving it daily ever since.  Really nice lady.  We brought the chally over to visit once and of course told her if she ever wants to sell it, we know of a good home! :grinyes:

My grandpa/dad 1st owned my Coronet when he was in high school... Dad sold it in the mid 70's when my older brother was born. I found the car 30 years later sitting in a parking lot at a car show all beat to hell, bought it and restored it... It sat in a junkyard for about 10 years and wasnt touched... original 383 4bbl, tranny and all... quite odd.

The restoration was a great medium to keep the fam together while my parents were going through a divorce.

Does that count

Before and after pic at my grandparents house in the 60's and one after I got done with it...I need to get back to their home town and ask the current home owner if I can drive on their lawn to take a picture. I like the car better sans vinyl top and white walls :) :) :)

A guy I know a couple towns over is the original owner of a Hemi Dart. I heard rumors of this and never believed it. Then I was talking with him one night and he brought me over his house and there it was. He mostly drag raced it and it has very low mileage. He also has a bunch of hot rods including a Willy's with a blown Hemi.

A friend of mine is selling me 3 cars that his Grand Father owned and bought new, he died in 74 and the cars have been in an enclosed car pot except for one that his wife drove once in awhile. They are not muscle cars but very nice unrestored unmolested cars.
1st one is a 65 dart 4 door, slant 6 auto with factory air, 48,000 miles and looks like brand new 2nd is a 67 chrysler newport 4 door, 383 2bbl auto, about 60,000 miles on it starts right up and drives like new, still in very nice shape, 3rd is a 73 Polara 4 door, 400 2 bbl air car, with around 50,000miles on it, its in near new condition inside and out, Im waiting for my friends Grandmother to find the pink slips and then Im going to go pick them up get them cleaned up and running and start driving them. Oh yea, every one of these cars has every bit of paper work from the time they were new and eveything he did to them in the glove box of each car. I will post some picks when I get them home, both before and after.

There are quite a few vintage Mopars here. I helped my friend put a 57 392 in a 57 Chrysler Saratoga 4door. It is Salmon with a white top and green interior. i love the colors from that period.
