What are your plans for the car??
As of now, the interior carpets and seats are going to be reupholsted. The seats of course are the deluxe option. The dash is perfect, no cracks!!! And the radio and vents look good. I think after 35 years the A/C vents should be cleaned. The headliner is sagging slightly, and will be replaced as well. parts of the body have rust, and very minimal rot. I have goodmark sheet metal skins for repair. The fenders both have slight rot, and a deposit is on order for sheet metal skin replacements due out in September.
As for the exterior, the polyglas tires are getting tossed, the rims are beign changed, and the replacement scoop hood has been aquired. For the rear, a dual exhaust will be put on and we just picked up a dual exhaust valence. I'm looking for a luggage rack to complement the classy vinyl roof.
Under the hood, the 318 has to go, and a 383 purchase is in the works (see above photo). Not sure if the tranny has to be swapped, but if so, then so be it. The car is for light cruising and for show, and being that the car is older than I am, I'm going to take real good care of her.
