1968 Roadrunner Fender Tag Help
« on: May 24, 2006 - 06:12:46 PM »
Hello Everyone, my uncle just bought a 1968 Roadrunner and has asked me to run the numbers for him. Well, I thought I could but I can't find anything on the web to decipher the fender tag. It doesn't help that I'm not very familiar with mopars either. Can anyone point me to a good website that can help me or can anyone here decipher it? I appreciate all the help I can get.

It looks like you may have a 1968 Vin tag and a 1969 Fender tag?  ???

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Wow, this is just crazy, I feel so bad for my uncle right now. Thank you everyone for all your help, it has been a really enlightening experience. At least we know what's going on now. The vin is correct for the car but someone at sometime has changed the fender tag. I feel like  :puke: Again thank you and I hope to gain more knowledge through this website and from everyone here.

Cody, I finally found a decoder at http://www.stockmopar.com It couldn't tell me what some of the codes are, maybe you know them? It didn't know the paint codes which I thought was weird.

Post a picture of your fender tag.  There are a couple things that are missing and out of order as they are listed right now.  That's is why the color is not coming up on the decoder page.  Post a pic and someone will step up and decode it for you.

I'll have my Uncle email me a picture of the tag. He's in California and I'm in Nevada.

The differences in model years may be because of sheetmetal repair / replacement across the years ?

Okay, my uncle just emailed me a pic of the tag. I can now see where I made some previous errors.

If it was a 69 that is. Do you have a pic of the whole car so we can see if it's a 68 or 69?
