Hello from NV!
« on: May 25, 2006 - 12:16:29 PM »
Hello Everyone,
I'm so excited to be a part of this community. I had a question yesterday and everyone was/is great in answering it for me.
While I don't own a classic mopar of any kind I have always liked them and someday plan on owning a Barracuda or Challenger. Right now my husband and I have a 1976 Trans Am and 1971 Firebird, both going through restoration. My husband also wants a 67-69 Camaro. He's absolutely car crazy and plans on owning a few exotics in the future as well.
We have a son, Bryon age 3, who is really into cars. Our daughter, Sierra Louise, is with us in our hearts and minds. And the youngest is not here yet, it is due October 10.
I stay at home while my husband works. He's a mechanic at one of the many gold mines in the area.
Have a good day!

Welcome to the site. I still love the early firebirds and my first new car was a 1976 Firebird that I went to the pontiac dealer and ordered. I still miss that car but have found that mopar cars have cured what was making me sick and now I can't get enough of them.

Welcome!  I just left Nevada.  Elko to be exact.  I also worked at one of the mines.  Something tells me that we know some of the same people.  One of them in particular was seriously into GTO's and Firebirds.  Good people that I'll miss for a long time.

Hello Snowymountainmar,
We actually live in Winnemucca, I like it here. Did you go to Alaska for the mining jobs? Quite a few people left our mine to work in Alaska, some came back though.

Topcatcuda,
That's so funny that you mention Nevada County. Both my parents grew up there. My father lived in Nevada City and my mother lived in Grass Valley. They came to Nevada for the mining industry in 1980.

Have a great day everyone :)
