It doesn't look bad to me, but I hope he isn't selling it as an AAR.  I thought any '70 Barracuda in decent shape was worth more than $15,000.

Take your pick. Either way your going to spend a chunk restoring it and making it what you want. Don't get me wrong, I think they are both nice cars in ABOVE average shape but it will cost you. It should be worth it in the end however!!! :grinyes:

What are the stinking odds. Ive been looking for a cuda/barracuda in my price range for 3+ years now, and in one day get replies from emails sent on 3 cudas in my price range-I think ill go buy a lottery ticket tonite.

Here is this car I just got an email back about just a couple thousand more than both of these, and he is asking $20,000 for this true aar.

In my opinion the two at 15k are overpriced. The AAR wannabe clone is in need of a total restoration to look correct, if rust bubble are forming then there is plenty to yet be discovered. Factor in a new paint job and all the parts to make it look right and you will probably end up spending another 10k. Unless the car is a real 340 cuda', I wouldnt mess with it. The 2nd car is even worse for the simple fact that there is paint over rust....an obvious sign that the seller is trying to get rid of the car. With that much rust on the car, Im willing to bet that it will need floors, all the exterioir panels, inner fenders, and maybe even frame rails. The real AAR car isnt such a bad deal and that would be the one I would buy. Reason being is that it looks complete and probably has never been tampered with, so you wont get many surprises. To top it off it seems like a rare combo being that it has a bench seat, dont remember ever seeing a bench seat AAR....maybe Barry can answer that one.

BTW, whats the deal with that convertible Challenger in the background?

The problem with the ebay car is its already $22,000 with 5 days left, it will probably go over $30,000.
The AAR is probably IMO the best deal, because it will be worth the most when its done.

You're gonna spend a huge amount of money restoring whichever one you get, just to do it right. You can find a deal on a done car for a lot less than that and you can drive it right now. The AAR will be worth the most when it's all over with, so if you want to spend a couple of years working on one, go with that one.

ok, he will take $15,000 for this car I just found out.

But I also just found this other car, 70 barracuda orginal slant 6 auto, for $15,000 as well, which do you think is the better "clone" or cuda "recreation" car to start with?0
A VERY CLEAN /6 '70 Barracuda went on eBay for 18K a few months ago. It was dark green and looked like it came out of a time machine.

I wouldn't pay 15k for a car that obviously needs that much work.

The AAR clone, however. If it had a very solid body I would say it's worth the 20K.

Just my opinion anyway.

Any money you put into the AAR will increase it's value and you will get it back. I think the T/A's and the AAR's are finally getting there dues and increasing in price. Fast cars, nice looks and great handlers Get the AAR-you'll be sorry if you don't

Dammn uthustler . . . are you a cuda magnet or what??  :worshippy   I think all those cars are not too bad priced . . . square taillight cudas bring more money still today even though the round ones have been doing better!    :naughty:   If the one is a true AAR, that is probably the choice I would go after.  Good luck and keep us informed what one you buy . . then share the rest of the info on the others!!   :bananasmi   :bananasmi   :bananasmi
