Not many.  Does he have the fender tag?  Is there a V1G code on it?  It's called gator grain.

Yeah he's got the fender tag and i beleive it is a V1G code I just didn't know what that meant. The car is kinda rough minnesota winters took there tole on the mopars. But It is still is pretty solid and all intact.

Our car is a V1G car and we've had a time trying to track down some original vinyl.  Here's a pic of our top after we took it off the car.  Too bad it was torn in so many places.

Yeah I don't what he plans on doing with the car he just hated to see it rot away in a field. He hopes to restore it someday.. and I guess someone offered him 25k  and he didn't take it it's green with a green interior I beleive.  he also has a 340 6 pak challenger and a 440 6 pak challenger. nice cars..

many years ago  a guy in Montana tried to sell me a T/A with a gator top.....that one was tan(DY3?)/green/green best I remember....it was the first gator top I had ever seen.....the car was an original non restored car and was all legit... it just wasn't very pretty :roflsmiley:

If only we could pull a "Back to the Future" and relive your life, buying every Mopar come across or offered to you in your lifetime, including the ones you turned down. Then fast forward to a warehouse in 2006 with all these cars. Now that'd be one sight to see!

You have obviously gone through an amazing procession of Mopars, and we enjoy hearing your story about each one of them.

That was the color combo of our challenger.  DY3 and gator grain.  I'll keep the gator grain, but never cared much for the DY3.

I had a DY3/green/green T/A one time, 44K miles and matching#s.....the car was one of the nicest T/A Challengers I ever owned, BUT...it had been repainted FM3, vinyl top removed and the interior changed to black....I also owned a real FM3 T/A that was undergoing a restoration and I bought this DY3/FM3 one just to drive on the street till the real one was finished.....sold it to a guy in Florida, he died and I have never seen the car surface again....DY3 always reminded me of  "Masking Tape"

....I have lots of pix of that DY3/FM3 T/A but have never scanned them into my computer...
