I'm glad to hear that many of these mopars didn't make reserve.  I am pretty sick of people trying to get $100k for every single 318 car with a set of Schumacher mounts and a crate hemi.  Go to AutaBuy, and next to all the Challengers that have been for sale for over a year at $40k, bascially the same cars (polished a little) are advertised as "Lot number XXXX at Mecum".

Ummm, if there are 12 Challenger R/T clones on AutaBuy that haven't sold at $40k after being listed for a year (seriously!) then what makes you think your clone will bring $80k at Mecum?

Maybe if Mecum were televised on Speed Channel, it would be more of a dong-swinging contest like B.J., and people would pay top $$$ for clones.  Did you see the guy on B.J. who bought a Roadrunner clone for around $100k?

Umm, excuse me, but did you just pay $100k for a Plymouth Satellite?

I wonder what the reserve was on the AAR ragtop?  That must be a rare car!   :roflsmiley:

whitesatin, ya I saw that 2x4 and was like WTF??

cudacharlie  :iagree: and then some. I was on a car on carsonline awhile back. I was "second in line" so to speak. The owner let the guy who called first get first dibs.... Anyway 6 weeks later the dam thing is on EBAY  went for 5K more than the originall sale price and DID NOT MAKE RESERVE!!!!!!  :banghead: I am so sick of the brokers getting hold of this stuff. My pics show how many are available... hell I looked at the june AUTABUY today ...theres a ton between Chaallys and Cudas.    :swear:
