I am watching it now....I wonder if that same older guy (Arlen) will show up at the auction and buy this one too.  Something seems fishy about that show although it is fun to watch.  Much more enjoyable than Bod's show.

I liked it overall but it seemed they spread the Bondo a little thick on that passenger quarter. It was funny when the body guy pulled out his hydraulic body tools from Harbor Freight...   I said
Hey dude I have one of those too

The ricey wheels have got to go

Did ya see how the Hemi oil pan hit the Magnum Force front suspension even after they used a mock plastic Hemi and trans with the motor plate :nono:.

Since they were going with the hemi dart theme, why didn't they order a cross ram. It wasn't much more than the in line dual quad intake they ordered, and it probably would have brought more money too. On a  better note the car looked good.

Did you notice when the passengers quarter had to be jacked back to align it how there was at least 1/2 of body filler that cracked off the panel. I was thinkin to myself, time for a new quarter. Next thing i see is them finishing the quarter on that side. Thats called a wack it and pack it job.

I would not touch one of those cars they do...we all know that to do a car like that in 3 weeks, they are going to take a lot of shortcuts.

Ok here you go; I saw the dart in April out in Calif and took a few pics.

I was not impressed with the whole thing, it just looked like a rushed job... now I know why!  :bricks1:

I dont see them putting a lot of heart in to their cars... just trying to maximize profit and get the thing out of the garage and to auction before the bondo start chipping off :) I do like to watch the show though... unfortunatley I fell asleep last night while watching it. Thanks for the pictures.

:iagree: The cars look all shiny and pretty but are real quickies.I watched a Mustang episode where they bondoed up every panel, painted it and then just undercoated everything underneath. Not the kind of resto I`d pay 40-70k for!   :puke:

They try to dramatize every show, like American Hot Rod. I wish they stop all the whinning and just show more of the build. The same with Overhaulin...I'm like ok already, you stole the dude's car do you have to torture them? Show the friggen build!

Yuck, nothing worse than a rushed car......

I was watching American Hot Rod last night, where Boyd's painter was getting real angry and upset about how they are always rushed and that they never have time to do a car right. That right there is the worst advertising one could do. So what Boyd, you meet your beloved deadlines but your cars are crap...... :eek4:

The painter was going to work or do a car for Chip Fooze, this allows him to spend time on doing the best he can be and not worry about silly deadlines that Boyd has wet-dreams over.....Boyd's cars = P'sOS.

I heard American Hot Rod was cancelled due to lack of employees...

Anyone else hear that too?

I'd believe that without a doubt.   :-\ Boyd being KING A-hole and that other pile of grump who sits in his office then comes out complains for a living, who'd want to work for them??  :P :grinno:
