Another Newbie
« on: June 04, 2006 - 03:38:15 PM »
Hi board, i'm Mark from NJ. I currently own 2 Cuda's and 70 and 71. I have had many Mopars over the years so i'm just a board newbie not a Mopar newbie. I drive everything i have ever owned and will continue to do so. I have nothing against trailered cars but these cars were made to be driven. Looking forward to making some new friends and maybe finding some old ones. Here are a few pics of my 70', i will post pics of my 71' when i have some time to take them. Enjoy, Mark

Welcome Mark but in the future you need to give us a heads up when posting a vert. some of us are getting to that age where the shock could be the deciding factor that puts us in a lot of danger , if you get my drift. You know arm hurting  sweating and clutching the left chest. :22yikes:

Welcome to the site Mark. Nice looking vert you got there. Nothing like owning 2 and wanting to drive them. I have a 71 Challenger Rt and just finished 70 Cuda. I have drove the Challenger to the Mopar Nats. every year since 1993 and would not have it any other way. Post pictures of the 71 so we can all have a look see.

thanks for all the replys. to answer some questions i will be at carlisle but have always been afraid to leave a car in a hotel lot so i'm always just a spectator. as for the Cuda i bought it about 4 months ago with paint and body done. i did put a new interior in it, wiring harnesses, some chrome trim, and some mechanical work. the guy who did the resto bought the car in 93' and replaced the needed sheet metal( quarters, extentions, trunk, 3 floors, and some frame repair)and painted the car. he then again re-painted the car in 00' which now has a super show quality finish.the body on the car is amazingly laser straight. the underside is driver quality with no detailing. next week i will be finishing some work which was not done due to lack of parts availabilty, torque boxes. i just got the repros and will be installing them next week. the car is a real bs27 cuda in fe5 red. its is all numbers matching front to back. unfortunatley no build sheet was found. the fender tag is loaded with options including light group, front rubber bumper, rallye dash, 4 speed with console, road lamps, power top, power steering, am/8 track, and hockey stripes. the luggage rack was added by the previous owner on the correct original raised hole trunk lid. the rear rubber bumper was added by me. after looking at verts for the last few years i have seen only a couple 4 speeds. if anyone has anymore questions feel free to post or e mail. mark
