Cudahob's work completed June 6
« on: June 05, 2006 - 03:47:14 PM »
Before and after pictures of a dirty job. I used a heat gun, scraper and Simple Green to remove the under coating. The primer is just there as a picture contrast.

Now it's off to the media blasters.  :woohoo:

Looks great Cudahob!  I have a feeling that wasn't the most fun job in the world!

Looks like you already had the subframe connectors.  Did you do those or were they already on there?  I plan on putting em on before going on the rotisserie for support.  Did you notice any flex when you mounted your car?

I bought it that way, they did a good job putting them in; zero flex, surprisingly.

I would have thought twice if it didn't have them on. Most of the rust is on the surface, body and frame are solid as a rock.

It does need new metal in the 1/4s and trunk; I'm also putting on some torque boxes on, and a beefed up new K member.

 Some good but not too pleasent progress there Cudahob, I need something similary to put the land yacht C body on, will something like that streach out to accomodate a 69 C body? That sure would make that kind of work a whole lot better than sitting the car on 50 gal barrels and crawling around.

I don't think that one would, it's close to the limits now. I'm sure they make one though.
