choke wire position
« on: June 05, 2006 - 11:41:25 PM »
I have an edelbrock performer carb with the electric choke on my 340 in my 73 barracuda.  Just wondering where do you guys have your choke hot wire ran to.  Right now I have mine hooked up to the coil, which I know is wrong but its just temporary till I get the new motor tuned right.  Any thoughts?

the dark blue wire thaat goes to the ballast resister is the wire you need to tap into for 12v switched power

Being that your car is a 73, there should already be a blue wire running along the passenger side valve cover that should have a female connector on it that stops in the original choke area to feed the original choke. It has the 12 volts you need also.
