8.75 gears and axles
« on: June 06, 2006 - 08:30:21 PM »
Hey guys,

About to toughen up my 8.75" before it goes back in with a set of 3.9:1 gears and some tougher axles. Any recommendations as to who makes nice gears/axles?

How much abuse can standard axles take?

Cheers!

not a lot  , , I twisted mine 1/3 of a turn on the first pass where I hooked with slicks , I have no idea how far it twisted to stay twisted 1/3 of a turn
Mark Williams has the Best axles , STrange Moser etc are adequate
there semm to be 100 s of gear mfgs , Richmond, Eaton, Zoom, Motive, Strange etc , all that I have used have been ok
