73 Cuda Info Request

Okay... 3 quick questions.... maybe not quick answers...

1. I thought I read in this forum about a place to buy broadcast sheets and/or window stickers for Cudas... any info?

2. Plymouth switched over to 360 engine mid-73... my 73 was mfg July 7... wonder how to find out how close to the last production 340 Cuda it might be?

3. There were roughly 4500 340 AT hard-top coupes... any way to find out how many were column shift??? (And still came with buckets!!!)

As far as I am aware, there were no 360s in 73.

Anyone confirm?

I really don't think you will ever come across an L code 360 in 73, no way to tell how many column autos were built.   A local guy has a 73 340 Cuda with a fendertag build date of 7/31 and door jamb sticker of 8/73.  That car definately has to be one of the last ones off the line.  Just a guess, but I would think there was about 5-8 percent of the years production built after yours yet.

Column shifts seem to be fairly common in '73.  (I have 2) including an original 340 car.  I have seen others

If the car was column shift it would have no C16 (Center Console) as an option.
If it was bucket seats and column shift it would simply have C55 and no C16.

Reproducing a broadcast sheet is not illegal. It may not be moral, but it's not illegal.

The only means of Id'ing a car (as far as the feds are concerned) are the body numbers stamped in it and it's components, and the VIN plate located on the dash (or door post on earlier cars).

The fender tag, door safety compliance decal, and broadcast sheet are not accepted means of Id'ing a car as far as the law is concerned. A lot of people think that the door decal is, but in all reality that decal just states that the car complies with all federal safety standards at the time of manufacture. The broadcast sheet was supposed to have been removed from the car before it left the factory, so if you find one it's really a sign of lax assembly line procedures!

I agree, no 73 360 cars....the 360 replaced the 1 year only 1973 cast crank 340 in the 74 model year.

Repro blank broadcast sheets are availible as I`ve seen them advertised recently.

 :iagree: Like the others have already said, there were most likely no '73 360s but I would think that there would more likely be a 340 in a '74 than a 360 in a '73. 

I think Mopar like to let the extra stuff go into the following year, but I'm still looking for that '72 Hemi Challenger.  :roflsmiley:
