I ran out of memory in my camera but I know the guy who owns this car and can get more pics if necessary. I just thought you'd like it.

Pixie's won't be a real pink car either, but what the heck, it's a plain jane white 74 318 duster. It needs some sprucing up!  :roflsmiley:

Beautiful car Troy!  Thanks for thinking of us. I can't wait to see Pixie's in pink. :grinyes:

All I really know is that it was made in the 70s and it's his "wife's car" (but he was the one wearing the matching pink t-shirt at the show).

The duster will be panther pink.  We have found that there is no one picture that can really define panther pink.  It changes color with the different lighting.  For instance here are some pics of her engine in different lighting.  They're all different.  It's a really strange color...but I like it! :grinyes:

We're working towards that.  I figure if she's working that hard for it (and she is...never seen a 17 year old girl work from sun-up to sun-down scraping paint and priming parts), I'll put in the same effort.  If only we had a staff like Chip Foose, we'd be set!  :roflsmiley:

I personaly dont care if the cars are original or not, its nice to see an "original" now and then, but really....just to see the time, effort and workmanship (workwomanship) that goes into the clones, and modifieds is awesome...

not everyone can own an original, but then again how many of us own an E body, a duster, .... a two door 1969 plymouth valiant...really they are all awesome... :chatting:

I'm not really caught up on all the a-body styles, but that's what I've always felt.  We gave both our kids the same opportunity...  find a muscle car you really like and we'll restore it.  My son picked out the challenger and totally lost interest (thank God!) and Pixie picked out the duster.  I've got a lot to learn about these a-bodies.

As far as the paint...we bought it yesterday.  Man, that's expensive stuff.  Red has already got two coats of epoxy primer on the car right now.  This weekend he'll be working on the filler, then more primer and sealer, 3 coats of base and 3 coats of clear.  We'll see pink pretty soon.  Pixie and I are working on refurbishing all the parts.  This weekend, steering column and seats.  :ylsuper:

This is our first attempt at painting a car ouselves.  Red has spent a lot of time talking with local (and very helpful) paint guys.  Their advice for bare metal was 2 coats epoxy primer before filler.  It's amazing how much better the car looks when its all the same color...even primer!  :roflsmiley:
