Just wondering if person does this how does a person get hooked up for something like this? Any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated as well. Thank you.

If you go to any local advertising agencies they will usually put your car on a list. This list is viewed by business clients and if they feel your car is suitable for their advertisement and their product they'll pick your car and the agency will contact you asking if you'd take the "job". Classic cars always do well....

Also, if your thinking about that line of work Weddings and functions are right in that alley.

I for one would never use Lucy as someones Wedding car. High heels, rings and dresses are not a good combo.  :eek4:

Thanks N/Z I wouldn't let them use it for that purpose. I realize you must be careful and read all the fine print but, just an idea. I'm sure it will get some publicity someday.

Doesn't bother me at all, I won't be taking her to any shows, just doesn't interest me one bit, people hanging around my car etc..... I'd rather they have a look where ever I park or at a gas station etc. Though, I'm a loaner when I drive.  A magazine article is about as much attention as Lucy will get. The most attention will be from me and to me, that's what counts. I could care less if I was the only one in the world who loved her.  :smokin:

Are you thinking about getting your Challenger in some movies?

A few years back they were filming "Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil" in Savannah, GA.  The move was set in the early 80's so they put out an ad for local period-correct auto's.  My friend had a 73 Nova that was in pretty good shape, so he answered the ad and ended up parking on the movie set for several days, moving it around to different spots and occasionally driving through a scene. He was always with the car and made $200 a day. Not bad for an old Nova, but if it would have been used directly in a scene - where the actor interacted with it - he'd have been paid $1500 a day.

My car was totaled in a wedding day rental - if you go that route make sure you're well insured.

Also my friend rented his car for a scene in the now defunt "Johnny Zero" series. They paid wicked money, but the stunt driver had zero respect for the car. He ripped into the same way a 10yo drives a sega. I wouldn't recommend either approch if you truely love your car - it will be destroyed. If you can get a sitting scene like the one mentioned above you might be alright though, just make sure your insured for the event.

I have been in the film bizz in south Florida for 10 years, unless you really need the money don't rent your car out to a production company unless your with the car 100% of the time. Even if your well insured and are with the car, there is a 50-50 chance your car will come away with some kind of damage. Small scratches, scuffs in the interior , or dents.

The people in the film industry don't give a damm about your car or property. It's insured in ther minds. I had a offer to rent my 71 Chally convert. for 8 days for 5 grand, and turned it down, mainly because I could not stay with the car.

There was a Mopar/Dodge commercial (I know, not a movie but along the same lines) that I read about that used I think a yellow Super Bee for a Dodge Ram commercial.  Do you guys remember this one?

I read the article in Mopar Collector's Guide or something like that and they basically gave this guy a quickie resto.  Of course this is a rare opportunity to get to be in a Dodge commercial but this guy got a nice new coat of paint and I think other things, maybe new rims.  This guy made out, but again a rare situation.

I remember seeing a 2nd gen fastback barracuda in that film (outside the barbershop in one of the night scenes)

A little off subject, but has anyone seen the new Wendy's commercial with the yellow Super Bee cruisin down the street? Sweet to see the old stuff!

Thanks guys. To be honest my car is more of a driver. I suppose if I do anything based upon what was said here I will try for commercials or music videos with me driving of course and that is if they accept the car or even like it.
