I love the modern drivelines that they're using nowadays. I think that the 5.7 and 6.1 hemis are going to be the primary engine in most builds from now on. Every time my wife shows her 5.9 FI powered cuda, I get two or three people asking me to do the same thing to their cars. I already have three to do now. A 73 cuda, a 74 challenger and a 74 charger.
It's already getting easier to find low mileage 5.7 hemi setups than it is to find the 5.9 setups. The 5.7's are a little pricier, but the longer they produce them, the cheaper they'll be. I love driving a car that has the dependability and gets 25 mpg. Last weekend we drove to a car show in Centerville, Arkansas and my wife just turned on the a/c, set the cruise and enjoyed the ride in her 73 cuda. Meanwhile, I was driving my 71 340 car, rowing that 4-speed with the windows down getting wind blown and heat exhaustion. Did I mention that it gets over 100 degrees here in the summertime with 75 % humidity.
Now I'm going to have to find me a 5.7 for my car.
