Actually, it is coded for the black and white interior.

That engine bay is not that bad. 


The motor needs a little cleaning and maybe repaint FOR A SHOW CAR

if this is a car thats going to get miles on it, that engine bay as a whole, is really pretty nice and will get a lot dirtier yet if you actually drive the car.

Buy the most valuable non-clone car you can afford.  This will help you weather the ups and downs in values with the collector car hobby.  The pics of the R/T look good.  I wouldn't mind having it in my driveway.  Buy it right and you will do well.  Good luck.

That's exactly what I had been thinking.

Truth be told, I wouldn't be considering dropping this much money on something like this unless I thought of it as somewhat of an investment.

On the discs, it is not coded B51 on the fender tag, so it would have come with drum brakes.

What I don't get is why this car has been posted posted and posted and not sold for all this time (yes I saw it at that eBay auction back when...) where other cars of similar pedigree seem to be snapped up a lot more quickly, and for more money.

Could it be cause of the location? Rebody? Hard to say, but given that the car has been on the "selling block" for quite some time now...warrants a through inspection. At least for me it raises some orange flags, given the weather climate in that part of the country.

How much's Galen charging these days? 

Seriously, I suggest you bring or hire a Mopar specialist to accompany you to see the car.

I actually got turned off on the car when I noticed that there had been alot of re-painting on the undercarriage/engine bay. Not thurough professional painting, but very cosmetic, dare I say cover-up painting.

I know this is the case because I went back and looked at the original photos I got of the car and compared them to the ones that had been sent to me this week. Sure enough, the engine bay had been cleaned up considerably. For instance, headers that had once showed minor surface rust now looked nice and clean with fresh silver paint.

Classic used-car lot freshening.

Oh, and they have taken the original rallye wheels off and replaced them with a set of 20s that would be at home on a Tahoe. There's another $1000 I would have had to shell out.

Also, the news that it had been passed around so much lately gave me pause...
