Forgot to say before, Charger, yeah I'd still be keen but they're a bit too big. Honestly.
Not sure a stock 440 powered Charger would give me the kind of performance I would want.

But, never say never.

 :bananasmi

Congrats on the new car.

Honestly though, a Charger would be no more than a couple hundred pounds heavier(if that) than your Lucy.

I love the looks of the 68-69 Chargers too, but after driving a Duster and a Challenger all the time, I finally got to drive a friends 69 Charger with a 440 in it, I was like WOW this thing feels big, so I know what N/Z is saying, it's probably just the squared off front fenders that give ya that feeling, but I'll tell ya they move good with a warmed over 440 under the hood.

Awesome Ride NZ.  Ever since seeing Lucy for the first time I've been a fan but the green car is over the top.  I want a challenger now.  Two ebodies is awesome.  Congrats.  :ylsuper:

Love them round tailights, not that I don't love the others but do favor the round ones. Nice car, I guess this really does confirm the things I've heard about NZ, it's so green over there that the money grows on trees! Would you mind picking a few hundred thousand dollars for me?

Good Job NZ, glad you got Lucy a stable mate.

Congrats, Carl! Looks like a beaut!

Though I still can't seem to figure out how you can find two for yourself down-under, and I can't find one for myself in the country in which they were made...

But I'm not trying to rain on your parade - so Congratulations again!

LOL Thanks everyone, honestly. Good to see positive comments. I am over the moon.
Sure it's no HEMI 71 but it's still one hell of a nice car.

JS27NOB - Yeah I know, but it's not so much that it weighs 2 tonnes it's the length as well.
For a daily driver it's not suited. It's about 2ft longer than a Challenger and handles like young kids on booze.

I should have some nice photos this coming weekend.  :picture: :swaying:

Cheers,
Carl

After spending a week in England last month I can imagine you have similar condition to them. There is no way I would own any American car in the UK, just too big for comfort on the very tiny roads!

LOL!! You obviously haven't been to New Zealand. We are NOTHING like them. Long highways & open roads. Same size with only 10% of the population.  ;) We're green, long open roads, mountains, beaches England is bricks, small apartments etc.....one funny post indeed. Mind you, isn't Canada like Iraq? Same thing.  :smokin:

Thanks dlrogers, your car was added to the Registry by the way. Looks good, thanks for supporting it.

NZ, your assesment of a B-bod IMO is from your inexperience in driving them, granted they will not corner quite as easily as an E-bod, but your reaction time must be "ahead of the game" so to speak, but there is nothing shabby about the handling of a properly set up B-body. My ole girl came with manual sterring and manual drum brakes and a sway bar, I added a leaf to each rear spring and unless I would get stupid with speed she will not "drift" like you may think....................but then I guess a man likes to feel the road under him,  :roflsmiley: bumps and all  :roflsmiley: No BS here friend, I'd rather drive the Charger any day over our Chally, maybe it's the 4 speed too, like I said, WE do like to feel things in motion..............................  :bananasmi

Thanks guys....

Jim - I have driven one, up North only for 20 minutes but I got the feel for the size in minutes.
I've heard otherwise from guys around here saying they'd sell their Chargers first before the Challenger.
Saying the Challenger is a totally different car and how it's a lot more of a pleasure to drive.

I've actually heard Charger guys admit they are an absolute dog to drive.
I'd still like one one day but for what I'm needing a Cuda fits the bill
(a 72-74 Challenger would have also been nice).

Besides, 6.5 to 7 seconds to 60mph isn't exactly screaming.  :-\
2 tonnes and 375hp aint going to move to quickly.  :crying:

So, not too put you off but it isn't an "assessment".  :smokin:
Sure, fine for a car like Lucy, my "show" type car....but daily driver? Na. :grinno:
