I was wondering what people have done for these pieces.  I haven't seen any repops.  Does anyone make 'em?

I bought thick cardboard stock that was slightly thicker than the original backing. I covered them both and it worked out great. Most new headliner kits will include extra material for the sail panels and sun visors.

I made my own with some 3mm gauge millboard, supplied by an interiors specialist in the UK. Not much help to you though ;)

I think you can buy the sail panels from Legendary Auto Interiors, with or without covers.

I was curious about the 70 Challenger R/T SE and 71 Challenger Formal Back Window cardboard headliner pieces so i gave Legendary a call just now and spoke with very helpful  John (Ext_231). John explained that Legendary does have the sail pieces for a 70 cuda, although none at the moment for the Challenger models. I have a set but they are old and chipped at the edges and may not be useful for much more than templates in the future.
I don't know what the diffs might be between 70 and 72 but their phone number is 1 800 363 8804. Hope it works out for you highspeeddirt :)
ukneil, that came out looking top drawer - nice job
