$80.      What a deal to get a 4speed behind a cast 440.

I ran into a Drilled 360 flywheel that was drilled just like the pictures in the book.  3 Big holes in the back. Being a 4-speed parts collector, I added it to my collection.  Flywheel and small block bellhousing was $100.

I think I paid $280 or $320 for my 440 cast crank flywheel, but I had no flywheel to start with either.   (440 was up againt and auto tranny)

80$ to mod a flywheel you already have sitting around anyway is a heckuva deal.  If you can trust your Machine Shop guy of course.

Let us know how that turns out.

I was going to call mcloed for a new flywheel but then I got to thinking if I don't try drilling it I will never know if that works so I pulled the tranny took of the flywheel and used my drill press with a dial indictor for the depth readings and drilled it my self. Thanks to tactransman for the diagrams it was pretty easy to do I reinstalled it today and the diagram works and works well I went for a ride and ran it up to 6500 rpm and no vibration. Problem solved. Thanks to everyone for help and advice.

Glad to hear that you fixed it.  I posted those pictures in April.  Maybe we should make it a sticky,
