Prowler, I know exactly where you're coming from.  I've sat at school sometimes and thought about what I could sell my Challenger for that would go towards either a new(er) daily driver or pay for some more of my school loans.  However, I don't think I'd ever be able to get rid of it as I've already put too much time and effort into the cause to simply let it go for some everyday bland car.  It definitely gets rough with all the payments that need to be made, not to mention trying to pull enough money to retire my old daily driver for something more reliable, but I feel I'll just let the Chally sit a little longer in my garage until I get situated well enough (basically after I graduate from college) to continue working on it.  With that said, best of luck with selling it for what you want and hopefully your health gets better.  I'm only 20 and from a couple harder ATV and enduro accidents I'm really feeling rather old when it comes to aches and pains and.

It used to be very painful for me to walk up and down stairs, and when I asked my doctor about it he recommended Glucosamine & Chondroitin (hope I spelled it right).  That was about 8 months ago, and now my knees are much less painful ... more like the dull soreness I felt after a long forced march with backpack.

Hi POC,
what fantum said isn't a bad idea.  Since I was little I've been plagued with a bad left knee.  I started taking that stuff (can get it at Costco/Wal Mart) and my knees have been great.  Stayed off that stuff for a bit and the pain came back.  Went back on and now I'm fine.
I had sort of a bone spur on my heel also.  I made sure to wear slippers in the house all the time that had good cushioning and it helped alot.

I can understand that you want to "get in and drive".  The car's no fun to drive when it's in pieces.  Fun to work on, but you can't drive a pile of parts.  :)

Do what makes you happy and what is right for situation.  Of course if you ask a bunch of die hard Mopar guys if you should keep you're Challenger the overwelming answer will probably be "yes", but you still have to see the answer through your eyes.

Yes, this can be an expensive hobby costing thousands of dollars.  But what is your hobby?  Wrenching or wrenching on a Challenger?  You could always sell this car, get the Prowler, and then get a cheaper project.  What's your goal of the project though?  Just to play with or get it road worthy?

I like others had an old car I regret selling but you know what?  It's what makes the situation work that's important.  I sold my old '69 LeMans convertible to go back to school.  It was hard but I said to my self once I'm done with school I'll be able to get something later that won't need as much work.  Along came the Challenger.

What ever you do, no regrets!

Myself being six months out of back surgery I feel for anyone with injuries and chronic pain.Do whatever you can to take care of your ailments but otherwise you just need to deal with them.I have a blown knee(early 20`s),bad shoulder(car accident),arthiritis in hands and big toe-hurts to walk sometimes and the list grows longer every year.At 46 I still love my old Mopars though I sometimes consider selling them all and buying a Viper so I don`t have to drag my old bones around on a creeper working on them but I still love doing the work so I`m just a lot slower and do less per week. For me it`s still worth it but if it`s no longer rewarding enough or too much work and not enough fun for you a Prowler might be a good way to go,just make sure it`s Orange so there won`t be much of a name change.

Thanks again to all who have viewed or replied. For me it's a point of being able to enjoy the car. But additionally, there's too many greedy people in this hobby or flippers anymore. It isn't what it used to be back when I was kid anymore. Mopars were the underdog of the group for the most part.
Anyways, I think since I've lost interest in the car and because I've had some dealings with some shady people on parts and work I think its time for me to move on to something else where I would possibly or hopefully have less worry. Besides that I would keep the car if I could pay it off or had it bought before this craze like a lot of you folks did. I guess the question I should ask now is would I get more putting the car back together or should I return most of the new parts I bought like exhaust X-pipe, exhaust tips, mufflers, and what not to get most of my money? I also thought about selling the tire jack, extra console, and side glass separate but, I don't know. I have bought a new B&M Shifter for it as well and I still need to buy a few things like a radiator, water pump, fan clutch, and B&M Tranny Cooler to make it road worthy. I just bought an electronic ignition upgrade but, I also have things like a points distributor as well. Thanks again.

MADMANS OPINION; Anything you can still return that you paid retail for & get all your money back (sans return shipping) would be best to return as the buyer may not even want those items, if you can't offer them here. As a mater of fact I will be purchasing X-pipe mufflers & tips sometime in the future.  Any extras you have offer them here or sell them on eBay. A replacement radiator will have a tranny cooler so don't buy the B&M but I would suggest getting it drivable for best resale value.  :crying:

ANYBODY HAVE A GOOD USED RADIATOR, OR FAN CLUTCH  FOR PROWLER?
