Exterior trim
« on: June 13, 2006 - 09:23:47 PM »
I have discovered that my 70 Challenger has holes for wheel well trim I assume that if I had it or not the holes would be present. Since the molding as not on the car how can I tell if it came with it originally? Was it part of a trim package and if so what other trim came in that package?

I'm thinking I had it but it was taken off during a paint job in 86.

I think that the code is M26 "Wheel Lip Molding".
M27 is "Wheel Lip Molding Delete". It should be on the fender tag....

The wheel well trim was standard on all 1970 Challenger models with one exception, it was not available on the Challenger T/A.

If you see it coded on a 1970 Challenger tag the tag is a fake. It will be on the broadcast sheet though.
