    Leaf Spring Plate question

    Can anybody tell me why these two spring plates have different shapes? One has two raised longitudinal shapes while the other has what looks like a hump. They appear to both have the same orientation in the photo, unless I'm missing something.

    From what I could tell the one on the right looks more like the ones on mine feel. Seemed like an oval indentation.  :clueless:

    Most likely they are from 2 different years of ebodys.

    The right is an E-Body plate, I don't know what the left one is out of, but it looks like you could use it. I believe 70 E-Body shock mount plates were a one year only thing. The shock mounted about an inch lower than later year E-Body cars. Why on earth they would make a change, I have NO clue.   :clueless:

    the right one could be a totally different application , Magnum ,Mirada , who knows , probably a different year & supplier, anyhting with a 3" dia axle tube
