70 challenger + shaker?

let's agree they're both cool looking hoods....

I think we can also agree that Fresh cool air into the intake is definitely a good thing....

As a mopar newbie I've wondered why no one makes a fresh air "kit" for the Bulge hood...

I think you just have to cut off/bend back a couple of flaps in the hood inserts to make the bulge hood functiuonal.

It's easier than that, remove two screws on each plate and pull them out.

I think Challengers look pretty darn sweet with a Shaker

To make the bulge hood functional you would need to open up the scoops and build an airbox to seal them to the aircleaner tub. Just opening them up to the engine bay does not truely make them functional, you need to isolate the hottter underhood air from the carb(s).

It can be done, but it is a lot of work and other designs let in more cool air.

that's what I meant...a kit that would seal it off, but I guess then you have the different air cleaner types and positions (big/small blocks) etc.. to deal with...oh well. I guess mine will keep suckin' that hot air from under the hood along with the premium petrol...
