big block bellhousing
« on: June 28, 2006 - 06:02:56 AM »
Does anyone have any pics of a big block bellhousing or part number.  I have a 70 r/t.  Since I'm going to Carlisle I want to purchase one.  I want to stay Mopar original on this issue.  Also wondering what the $$$$.

Thanks

2892511  or 2892513  were used on 70-71 B and E bodies behind 383, 426, 440s.  If you can't find the right part number but run into a 10.5" clutch, big-block housing, measure the input hole for the correct 4.8" bearing retainer, and scoop it up. As for $$, it depends what you want to pay before someone else buys it.

I think he wanted one showing the location of the part number.

4Cruizn.......Thanks for the pics but Shelbydogg is correct.  I need to see where the part # is located.  Your pics won't go to waste.  Now I know what color to paint the bellhousing.  By the way what type of paint did you use and the color.  Is the color street hemi orange?  Thanks again!!!!!!!! :worshippy

4Cruzin you rock.   :bananasmi  Now when I'm at Carlisle I know which one to buy.  As for the paint I have 7 cans sitting around.   :woohoo:  I was going to use the paint for the block but it seems that the Mopar paint doesn't hold up to the extreme heat.  Again 4Cruzin you rock.
