Regarding the 1970 Panther Pink Pics ------BEWARE!
« on: June 28, 2006 - 02:55:20 PM »
I can't believe the nerve of some people. If he says its original body panels- It might have a floorpan replaced! If he says the engine bay looks good - The motor might be painted Ford blue. If he says the interior is good- It might have holes in the seats, package tray and or missing seat belts. or holes in the kick panels and dash where the radio used to be! He might not tell you it has frame connectors! He might not tell you the windows don't roll up or down properly. He might take a pic of the air cleaner lid with the 6-pack sticker turned correctly but when you recieve the car you might find out the decal is on backwards! He might not tell you the driver's seat back frame is broken! BADLY I might add.  He might not tell you it has no gas cap. He might not tell you the there is no door key.AND if he says he will split shipping cost with you he might pay the minimum to get the thing loaded on the truck and leave   you with the remainder of the bill. Just my experience. By the way why is the post below locked? STILL WAITING TO SEE HIS HALF OF THE SHIPPING MONEY! :clueless:

It was locked by the author of that thread . . not by a MOD.  I can only assume you bought this car or looked at it??  :dunno:

You are correct in assuming I purchased a car from this member that was listed on this site!

SUCK! Sorry you are unhappy with the deal . . . this once again goes to show that you should not buy a car without looking at it or having someone look at it for you.  :grinno:  See too many people getting ripped off!

The car I purchased was a previous post from February of this year. My current post is to warn any potential buyers of the car that is currently being advertised by this member!

After looking at all of this person's posts, it appears that 95% of them are in the "Cars for Sale" section.  Has anyone esle bought anything from him before?  Has he tried to make any kind of restitution?

When he first posted that thread, I sent him a personal message asking if he meant to lock the thread.  I haven't heard back from him.  If this person is using our board only to sell cars and he is burning buyers in the process, we have ways to handle him.  Seems we had to do the same thing to HLPAG.

That sucks.

Makes me feel ok about the car I got from an ad here.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

You bought a beautiful 71 challenger clone , with a 440 6 pack, 4spd, dana 60.  Hemi  Orange paint was awesome.  You paid 25k for it, which is well under value, and you know it.   It was such a bad deal, you turned around and listed it for 39,995!    All i can say is, you bought alot of car for that money.    And if it was such a bad deal, why were you trying to get 15k more than you paid for it????

On the pink challenger.  Again, priced to sell, and was sold to a guy fairly local, who is happy with the car.  I sold it for 15k.   Find another 70 challenger , that nice for that price.  Wont happen.  Always 2 sides of a story.  Sorry  your expectations were more than the car was.  YOu could have came out and seen the car.   People are quick to pile on, but I didnt force you to buy it, and the car was well worth 25k....i have tons of pics, if anyone wants to see them.

Also, Im not getting into a flaming match with you, but I also disagree with alot of what you said.   Also, you are the buyer, if you want to know little details (like the inside gas cap was missing under the flip top gas cap) then ask that.  Shipping money?  I told you before, that money was given to the shipper.  Anyways, no need to respond further.  If you want to know every 10 dollar part on the car, ask the question, otherwise, come out and look at it.  I had 10 calls a day on that car, and I answer what is asked.  I sure as hell didnt sell that car or the pink car at a profit, and I have receipts.   You wanted a 40k car for 25k...and what you got was a 25k-30k for 25k.   You guys were the ones wanting to cash in on the car, and trying to flip....not me.
