Why care ? Enjoy the car for what it is.

It's yours and if YOU are happy who cares what someone else thinks?  Life is too short to worry about someone like that.

Cuda, Cooda, Barracuda, even heard Mopar advertising refer to em as BannanaCuda's back in the day.  They are all Mopars, just different option levels.  Enjoy it my friend.    Don't feel bad, mine doesn't even have a cup holder!

To make you feel better.... I ONLY have a Challenger. NO, it's not a R/T. NO, it's not a T/A that it resembles. Guess what? I don't care.    At least I have one of these cars.   :bananasmi

The Cuda might have had a bigger engine, or beefed up suspension parts, but really, that is splitting hairs if people are giving you crap for it.   :swear:

I think now a days any mopar is special but if you have an E-body you have got it going on!!!

As far as 'CUDA vs Barracuda goes they are all the same underneath and any engine bolts in.  '70s are one of the most popular cars right now.

Mines a barracuda too, but I always refer to it as a 'Cuda.  I wouldn't worry about it, like the others said, it's your car not theirs, and I'm pretty sure they don't get any more enjoyment out of their " 'Cudas" than you do with your Barracuda.

......  Don't feel bad, mine doesn't even have a cup holder!.....

OS, I kinda have a feeling a cupholder wouldn't function too well in the beast unless sitting still.  But then again, your car looks too fast for a cup holder just sitting still!  :roflsmiley: :burnout:

As above, don't worry Jeryd, jealousy is usually to blame when people start to nit-pick your ride.  :smokin:

...I have discovered in my many years on the planet that no matter how KOOL I think my toy is, somebody always has me beat....you just can't worry about stuff like that.....

if you had a CUDA, then a guy with a HEMICUDA would ask if yours was a HEMI and make you feel inferior....if you had a HEMICUDA, some one would ask you if it was a convertible and on and on and on....

not many people have Barracudas at all .......I've owned CUDAs and Barracudas.....they are all fun to own and drive...

Look at it this way, I have a '74 real 'Cuda with a wimpy 318. But I love the hell out of it!, not because it is a 'Cuda but because that car has the sexist lines ever made.... oh yea, the lines are the same. DOH!

What I see the most is when someone makes comments like that it is because your barracuda looks/runs better than their real 'cuda.

Don't sweat it but I know what you mean. I have a 73 'Cuda and I have had people say well it's not a 70 or 71 so it's not a real muscle car. I usually just tell them to kiss my #$$. At the end of the day the only person that has to like your car is you. My 73 is the first car I ever owned and I will always love it. ALL E-Bodies Rock!  :ylsuper:
