a/c E-bodys

I just purchased  classic air  a/c kit. ( my car has factory air)  what i need is pics, of engine compartments (big blocks) to see were every thing goes, the instrutions that  they give you is from a dodge charger, much different from e-bodys,  can any body help? thanks

Sorry I can't help with the pics since my cars are small blocks. Classic Auto air did the same crap to me, wrong instructions, no you don't need an idler pulley, don't need a different crank pully, when the stuff showed up I was going to have to change all the parts they said I wouldn't have to I also got b-body instructions which they said was a mistake???  Then they wanted to charge me to take their stuff back. I hope you have better luck.

I have a 69 charger and a 70 challenger both with a/c( well use to have it) and they were set up the same way as far as compresser mounting and hose layout. are you using a sanden compresser? Im thinking of putting a/c back on both cars with the sanden compresser but I have the march serpintine set up on both cars and havent seen thier mount yet.

yea im using the sanden compresser, but i just found out that they gave me the wrong setup,  gave me one for a b-body, i am waiting to call them today,(monday) to give them HELL!!!!!!!but still hope they have better instructions!!!

There's a differnce between "getting a March Pulley System" and "getting pulleys and brackets from March" 
in our case we ordered specific pulleys (from different systems - they sell separate) that matched what we needed to do.  MMSACC made brackets for us out of stainless steel-- and they sell them now... http://www.mmsacc-stainless.com/html/addlmoparitems.htm

Some nice A/C setups here using the sanden compresser. I have the march serpintine pullies with the billet brackets and would like to see thier billet brackets for the a/c for that. Ive had my march system on since they first came out with it and dont want to change to different brackets. I have a couple sanden compressers sitting around. also need it to work with the 6 pack intake.

are your cars BB or SB engines? If you are going Sanden on a small block and intend to use March equipment your option will be somewhat limited compared to the BB solutions. Bouchillion will tell you his systems require his pulleys. I am not sure how close to stock they are. 

I did like Rev and Redline and had to fabricate brackets to work with the March system. My problem was compounded by the later model Mopar Performance intake with passenger side offset t-stat housing. This t-stat housing on this manifold is located in the area where most SB folks park their Sanden compressors.

I became obsessed with a dual drive belt system with no idler pulleys and ended up having a custom dual v-groove water pump fabricated. Looks just like the March product, only with 2 grooves.

But what im lookin for is a set up like the way way the factory did,  in the stock locations , my car has a/c from the factory, but what i want is the same type condenser, and the way the factory ran the hoses, I just want a easy bolt in deal, some times i do not want to use my brain power to figure something out. I like EASY!!! but idont know if anybody does that??? does anybody know??

If your car is a factory AC car with all the trimmings they make a kit to swap out the RV4 to Sanden. Its a simple bracket that mounts the Sanden in the RV4 saddle. I don't know much more than that but I have seen them on Ebay. they look like this:

I might be confusing the name of the stock Mopar compressor with that of a homebuilt airplane. It may indeed be RV-2?
