Wife's new Car!
« on: July 03, 2006 - 10:27:02 AM »
Picked up my wife's new car on Friday (helluva b-day present for her  :roflsmiley: ) Her birthday was on saturday.  Anyways..we are really happy with it.  It is a 2004 Chrysler Sebring LXI.  It is in really good shape and got a VERY good deal on it. (My brother is the service manager at the dealership...so that helped!)

Here are some pics of it!  (Now I just need to figure out how to pay for it!  :money: )

Gene Steffy's (the dealership) washed and detailed for us before we left.  I took it to work today....now it's raining!!  :pullinghair:  So much for a nice clean car!!  At least we are getting some rain...been pretty dry here.

You should be very happy with it, the only thing I can tell you is change the oil sooner than later and it should be very trouble free.

Nice Cannibal, I like the look, kind of like a "mini 300C". They look light and fun to drive.
We don't get them down this way but they'd probably do OK.

That is exactly what I thought when I first saw it....but a cheaper version!

Thanks everyone...I was a little worried about it though...every time I would turn right, I would hear a "ding" like a gas light was turning on or something.  I never saw any lights or anything until the other day I saw the brake light flash for a split second.  I called my brother (who is a service manager for Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep) and before I even told him that the brake light was on, he told me to add some brake fluid.  I guess the sensor is on the right side of the reservoir, and when I turn, the fluid would shift to the left....   I am glad it wasn't something major!

Happens all the time

Also a good sign that it's time for a brake check as obviously the low fluid level is because brake pads are worn.
So I take it this is a used car then? New to you?

Never mind, I see where you said it's an 04 model now. But better check the brake wear for sure.

Yep...brakes need replaced.  I drove it from here (Lincoln NE) down to Columbia MO over the weekend and averaged about 27.5 MPG, and that was cruisin' at about 80 or so the whole way.  And I didn't even have to stop for gas!
