« on: July 06, 2006 - 06:12:13 AM »
who here is running the 5-speed and useing the Hyd. Clutch?  Mine feels very mushy and doesnt seem to grab as hard as it should. THey sent me the Sachs clutch, i am thinking of switching to a McCloud (sp?) i hear they are much better. Hope to chat with keisler about this at carlisle. any input?

Got one.  installed and troubleshot it myself

Make sure it isnt getting air in the system.

90* elbow was my weak point.

The one that came with the system fit sloppy so I ended up going to ACE hardware and getting another and it fit a little tighter.

I still had a super slow leak at that 90* elbow on the piston cylinder that is on the firewall, that even though it says not to, (and I called Keisler to say that I was thinking of doing it, and they said "what-eva") I used teflon tape....    I did and it fixed the issue.

might be something to check.

They set me up with a Spec 3+ clutch and pressure plate.  The Mcleod Street Twin was about double the Spec setup.  Still waiting on the master cylinder; they said it was being redesigned.  Getting all of the air out of the hydraulics is the key...

I use McLeod exclusively
Keisler sucks to deal with ,why are they still in business?
I have used hyd clutch systems in th epast & they work well not familiar with keilsers though

I talked to them at Carlisle, they told me pretty much the same thing, Make sure there is no air in the line. They said bleed the hell out of it and then bleed it some more.

Ill check my lines to make sure there is no air getting in.

thanks
