    How long have you owned your car?

    I had always assumed that I was an anamoly, having kept my car for very close to 30 years, but I've noticed a lot of people posting that they've owned their cars for several decades. Just for my own amusement, I want to get an idea of how many people are insanely committed to one particular vehicle  :D. If you have multiple cars you're going to have to pick one as "your car."

    My dad bought a 71' Barracuda convertible off a Volkswagen dealers used lot in 1973, his midlife crisis car and I ended up with it in 1976.  Just wish I hadn't cut speakers into the rear seat side trim, seemed like a good idea at the time though.  :bricks1:

    I put cheap-ass "coil over" shocks from JC Whitney on my car more than 20 years ago. It took me 3 hours to get one of them off the other day. I'm waiting for a cool day to do the passenger side. Part of having a car for decades is smiling about the stupid things you did to it  :D

    I've had my car since 1977. It sat in the garage for a long time but I finally got it going again. I agree with ChallengerHK I just smile at the stupid things I now have to fix from 20 years ago and just wonder what I was thinking of back then. Took off the A/C, PS, lost the road lamps ect. At least it can all be reversed back to original--just a little time and money!!

    I have owned my 69 cuda 13 year's this august,and as many of you know I bought my 70 340 challenger on February 25 2006.Which happened to be my birthday.Best present ever.And just picked this 70 vert up and it turned July 1st as we came into town with it on the trailer.

    My Challenger will have been with me 6 years in October. My daily drivers are usually with me about 10 years or more. I guess you could say, when I buy a car, I stick with it.

    Bought mine in `82, drove it for 7-8 months till the 340 blew apart and didn`t get it back on the road till `97, been beating the crap out of it since!  :bigsmile:
