gran coupe question

hello, my dad has a 70 gran coupe, i was reading some posts about these and was wondering... they come with overhead consoules leather seats, etc. his was all original when he bought it but mice ate build sheet and could not find anymore, i can't get vin right now but will soon, anyway his has leather but no overhead consoule, and is column shift is this right or ? did someone order without it or should it have it? thanks

If it is a Gran Coupe it should have the overhead console, unless it is a convertible Gran Coupe.

If you can get the VIN and / or fender tag codes we can tell you for sure.

 Unless it was a convertible, the Grand Coupe should of had the overhead console. That was what set them apart from the others, like the Challenger S/E.

The leather was an option not standard on GC's

Actually.....

Leather was standard on the Gran Coupe. Cloth insert seats were a credit option on them, you could opt for the cloth and save a few bucks.

my HEMI Challenger RT/SE had the Houndstooth interior, it was a $49. credit on the window sticker....

My GC has the floor shift.

The GC headliners were the cardboard backed type you see in most late model vehicles.  The standard headliner was the bow type.
