Help, Trying to locate my old Cuda
« on: July 12, 2006 - 12:01:45 PM »
I found a photocopy a few days ago of the title for the Cuda I used to own, and would like to see if I can locate the car and it's present owner. It was a 1970 Cuda, F8 Drk. Green Metallic, 340 4 speed, VIN BS23H0E130436. I have no idea where the car might be. The guy I sold it to is no longer around, and I've heard different stories about who he sold it to. One is that it went to Silver City, NM and the other is that it went to Las Vegas, but I don't know if it was supposed to be Las Vegas, Nevada or Las Vegas, New Mexico. If it went to Silver City it's either not there or is stuck away somewhere. I have some pictures of the car from when I owned it, and am friends with the original owner, who bought the car from the local dealer right after he got back from Viet Nam. Both of us live in Deming, NM. If anyone out there has any info on the car I would really appreciate hearing from them!

Email me or PM me your information and if the car shows up in the registry I will contact you.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

  Cody,

That letter "E" gets my attention now too.  It was funny I only found L.A. built Challenger's at Carlisle, and no Cuda's.  :clueless:

I'm guessing that most of the LA built cars are still in the west.  Thanks again for all the help.

I know this is an old thread and I apologize but I have this car in my possession. It is a vitamin C orange car now. It needs a lot of work. I purchased it a couple of weeks ago. The plan is to restore it back to original.

Thank you,
Marc

Please send me a pm so I can get in touch with you. I would like to know all I can about the car. It is missing the fender tag. The car has just returned from the northeast and is in Denver, Colorado.

Thank you,
Marc

Thank you 67vertman. I sent a pm. I would love to figure out what the car had from the factory so I can restore it that way without guessing.
Thank you,
Marc

Would be nice if you two make a connection, although based on his original post I'm going to guess that he would be passionate about making an offer to buy this car back!

Best of success in all that you do with it.

Thanks Challengermaniac,
I would honestly be more interested in finding out as much as I can about the history of the car rather than sell it. I just want to be able to put it back on the road as it was in its former glory. The dark green throws me a bit, not only because the car is now orange, but also because there really isn't any sign of it having been green. The misc vins stamps all match so I know it has the original vin tag. The car is in storage at the moment whileI am finding time to clear some space for it and some warmer weather to get started. I will have to go check again for past green paint.

I sent the original poster an email informing him that someone has responded to his inquiry.  Maybe he will log in . . .  :ylsuper:

Well his buddy bought it new.  So he should know everything about the car.

Keep in mind that if him or his buddy want the car, he might make it worth while for you to go purchase another car WITH a fender tag.

Good points 'Cuda Hunter. I think that the original post  was long enough ago that he is no longer feeling nostalgic or has found another car and has moved on. I still want to find out if he and/or the original owner would like to help me out with pictures or documentation on the car.
Thanks,
Marc
