Hello from CA!
« on: July 12, 2006 - 10:11:07 PM »
Hi all,

I have been lurking in the shadows for a while gathering information, but have finally decided to introduce myself. I am the owner of a '70 Challenger that I bought 9 years ago for a grand after I wrecked my last car. I love this car and it is finally time to get it "prettified". It is not stock anymore so I hope I am not hunted down and slaughtered. :villagers:
It was someone's parts car and didn't have a title (but it did have a large envelope that had copies of different sale notes from people). It was a stock Challenger witha 318 (not the original motor however). It was mostly white, with lime green fenders, prmered grey hood, and a yellow rear end. Came with the interior stuffed full of spare parts and a free copy of The Paddock. :D Nowdays it is primered black (spray cans by me), has a 360 street motor that I took form my old race car, a six-pack hood I made out of my stock one, and is raked. I am currently changing my 3" dual exhuast to 3" zoomies before i go and get a quote on paint.
Just wanted to introduced myself...oh yeah my name is Cliff :-[

YO CLIFF! Welcome aboard. Sounds like an interesting project. Please elaborate on Zoomies. What I think of as Zoomies is four pipes right behind the front wheel pointing up, is that what your doing?  :burnout:

OH YEA get us some Pics   We love Pics.

Welcome to the board Cliff!!  You won't be hunted down and slaughtered here for not having a stock car.  Many of our cars are highly modified and many are completely stock.  You'll fit in just fine.

Glad to have you on board.

Hi all,

Thanks for the welcome. I will get some pics soon. I wish I had some of when it forst arrived, but I can definitely get some of it's pre-paint look right now though. I'm from Sacramento, car came from Manteca. As frot eh zoomies, I'm going for the four pipes either side exiting right before the rear wheel..... Road Warrior style.

Hey Cliff

Welcome.  I am in the process of restoring a 70 Challenger R/T 383 I got last July in Sacramento. You got a real nice city and the climate treated my sheet metal just fine.

Allright, just got some pictures of the beastie. Now this is after it has been stripped down to all but bare running essentials to get in in for an estimate and also the tips for my zoomies are going to be put on next week.
