Yesterday my son (15) got a call from his best friend who was very excited that his dad just brought home a car and told him it was to be his. Neither my son's friend or his father know much about cars, so when I asked him on the phone what kind it was, he said, "I don't know, but it's big". Well, we had some errands to run and decided to stop over his friends house to see this new and wonderful thing (that doesn't run and they don't know what's wrong with it). It turned out to be a Dodge Caravelle. He still doesn't know what year it is, but I'm sure it's early 80's. It seems pretty solid, and interior was in fine shape. The only thing I could think of to say was "Well, at least it's a Mopar". His eyes lit up. He had heard that word before. He said "really, is it really a Mopar? Isn't the car you're rebuilding a Mopar?" I didn't have the heart to tell him that Mother Mopar had a WIDE range of classes of cars and his was NOT LIKE MY MOPAR!!! But, he's 15 and very happy to have his Dodge Caravelle. (I had never heard of a Caravelle before....)
