I replaced the intake gaskets and valley pan today. Getting the intake leak stopped has helped a bunch.I am now able to get it to idle below 1 thou and it runs a lot smoother. I am taking it to a local carb guru to get him to set the holley and to time the engine like it should be. ( The Chryco way) The guy that had my car before used wayyyy to much permatex on it and to beat all he only had gaskets between the valley pan and the heads, no gasket facing the intake but man did he like the RTV.
It was a nice day here so I set up a canopy outside and worked outside today. It was windy so it stayed bearable, much better than being cooped up in the garage.
