Are the pedestals mounted on the trunk backwards?

   :iagree:

I thought the pedestals should be in the middle of the wing. These look like they are close to the front edge of the wing. In any event, the wing should not be even with the bumper.

It looks odd to me.  As torred said maybe it is too far back.
I was just getting ready to post a question on wing placement. I realize the wing needs to be centered on the lid side to side but my question is " What is the measurement from either the front or the rear of the deck lid?" Pictures please if you have them.
I have a rear deck lid that is rusty so I have a place to practice before putting the unibit to the metal of a new deck lid.
I bought a used wing from pandamarie, another regular on this site  so I didn't get installation instructions. Remember the white challenger with the TA and go wing spoilers? He kept the TA and I bought the go wing.

There are templates showing exact wing mount measurements, I don't have them. If You buy the mounting plates that screw underneath the deck lid, it's wing holes are already drilled. You would just drill through those first, up through the deck lid, in the correct places.

I mounted my wing a little farther back from stock. I didn't like the way it looked 2/3rds back on the top. I mounted it so the rear was almost even with the back.

I bought mine at a swap ,no instructions ,templates ,or mounthing brackets.Used pics here http://www.jonsteiger.com/www/barracuda/GO_WING/ for reference.Turned out pretty good I think.I spent a fair amount of time inspecting wings when at shows and they all seem to vary slightly.I think I lot of people end up with a little eyeballing. The base of my pedastal (and most I've seen) is about 1 cigarette pack from the edge.the link I posted also has instructions for putting hockey sticks on too ,very helpfull
