I only lock my hood when I leave my car unattended at work or in a parking lot for theft protection.I suppose it would take some time to unlock if I ever had an engine fire and I keep my fire extiguisher in the trunk!

With me, I just see some vibration at high speed, not that I do that.  :smilielol: I'm just thinking hood pins will help calm my nerves.
Any advice appreciated...

The factory latch and scondary safety latch(the one my non-Mopar buddy gouges his head on every time he works on my car  :swear:  ) are more than enough to secure a steel hood even at speed but if you have a fiberglass hood the pins are a needed extra IMO.

Thanks torred,

I find it hard to believe my latch will come un-done, but the sight of the hood vibrating has me scared.  :scared:

I have hood pins on mine, so when I put the car back together I left that damn safety latch off! It's much easier on my scalp that way. :clueless:

We took ours off at the suggestion of Chryco.  No headaches anymore! :grinno:
