commercials
« on: July 19, 2006 - 06:44:58 PM »
hey all,
I was just curious how you people liked the new Dr. Z commercials. I first read about the company doing them a couple months ago and now I have now seen at least 3-4.
I like the marketing stategy myself.
Looking forward to Dr Z in a new Challenger.

I guess I watch too much TV
I find those  commercials to be shamless self promotion trying to put an entertaining face on a German corporate takeover  :stirpot:

Kinda funny though  ;)

Yeah, I'm not particularly impressed. They're mildly funny, but he doesn't have nearly the personality of Iacocca. He does have way more personality than Bill Ford, at least.

Thread Hi-jack!  Thread Hi-jack!

Ok  I seen one it was ,well  just ok.

How about the sonic commercials?  kinda corny, but the best one yet, the brownie blast, where the guy is teasing his wife and she ask him if he feels powerfull, he says yes and she grabs it out of his hands and he says that didn't last long.

the radio commercials are annoying, but the one with the prank caller asking him if his mustache, i think shows that chrysler has over done the whole hemi marketing thing.

They're the best car commercials out there right now!! (tongue in cheek)  Well, at least they're memorable and better than the competition's.  Ford's got the Idle guy spazzing-out every hour and the ditzy blond singing "Beep-Beep" for the new Mustang.  The Chevy commercials are so good I can't remember a single one.  Oh, wait.  They have the idiots jumping onto the car carrier to claim their rides!

Face it.  Great car commercials are rare and DC has actually done a better job than most at them.  The HEMI? SWEET commercials have become classics but they aren't great.  For great, think about the Viper cruisin' to Crystal Method's version of Magic Carpet Ride or the ultimate; The Ford GT running at speed around Sears-Point with absolutely no sound except the car going through the paces.  SWEET!

What car commercials do you all think are great?
