help me settle this!

hello all, and thanks for the help before hand. i have been tryin to help my buddy with his engine prob. but he won't listen to me!(a ford thing i guess)! he just put a rebuilt eng. in his truck and he says it won't rev past 4000 (i can hear the ford jokes now)! he put a new dist. in and still has the prob. he says it runs good up to there. i have told him what i think but i thought i would ask u guys. any help? thanks

You don't mention what year or anything, but I'm thinking the ignition might have some type of rev limiter on it.   :dunno:

he says it's a 78 and it acts like he has a rev limiter. thanks for any help.

ok thanks but never mind he says it can't be the electrical! i said check ur grounds etc. and he said the grounds from the moter to the frame or fire wall r only for radio reception?!  so i guess it's a lost cause sorry to take up space for this question! :pullinghair: :pullinghair:

Sounds like this one time, at ford camp, I degree'd a 270/280 Wolverine cam 4* advanced in a 351M..........................................
