Rallye dash lites .....Cuda
« on: July 23, 2006 - 09:33:36 PM »
Ihave a blue  lite  thats on the top left of the dash/instrument cluster  that now  seems to stay on all the time? it lites the headlite switch area  or is it on a timer of sorts?  Also are the gages  'back lit'   or  only  from the front by the blue panels  in the top of the dash pad area?

I  have a washer bottle  with the electric  pump  ......how does it get wired in,  does it hook to the wiper switch to activate when pushed? .......thx....dk

Does you car have an ignition key light? a map light? Sometimes the light group had that upper left light on the little timer circuit with the key light. If you don't, it should be hooked up to the other blue lights for the dash.

Washer pump,  If you had a manual pump, then you have to add the wire that goes to it from the dash switch. If your dash switch has and empty connector use a test light to see if it goes hot when depressed, connect to this wire. If you don't have an empty spot, the wire may be already run to the firewall and you can just add to it's plug.

the guages are fron tlit only , 3 lights for std dash , 4 for ralley , the spare bulb could be for the heater control , but it still should not stay on

The light that lights up the switch panel is part of the Light group package and is on a timer.

For a 1970 Challenger you can check this page, code A01.  Not sure which car you're refering to though.

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.
