True............but really, a blower/turbo motor, built for economy, will get better mileage in a heavier car/truck, with long legs.

I like steriods (nitrous), I really do, it's just that I hate what it does to internal parts when not used correctly.

I guess what I'm saying is that I HATE detonation. A little bit into the detonation range makes good power, a "little bit too far" kills yer JUNK !  But I guess that's true of anything as you get closer to the edge.

In todays current "Street God" wars, there are lots of guys preaching "pump gas" tunes for "TONS" of Nitrous, albeit, drowning the flamefront with fuel as the control, keeping the fire under control with "gasoline" really, LITERALLY, until the piston can "outrun" the pressures @ rpm.  KUDO's to the guys who've got that one figured out !
What I hate to see, are the guys who hear about it, and attempt it on their own with limited tech resources, DON't DO IT !
Seen guys "literally", knock the Moly right outa their rings !

Moral of the rant; "USE GOOD FUEL, NOT PUMP GAS, WHEN SPRAYING ! MUCH SAFER ! " lest yer junk exits "stage bottom".

Apologies for the rant.

FC out.

On my system , I had a separate 8 gallon fuel cell in the trunk( with 110 octane in it) with a holley blue pump and 1/2 inch fuel line and a separate regulator to adjust the mixture. I also had a fuel pressure safety cut off switch. :burnout:

More pride for me, engine only....leave the wings, strobes and NOS for the "other" crowds, you know the ones.

1st i should have known better than to post this. 2nd if i had your money to "build it right without the nos" so the motor is up to your standards i still will have nos! 3rd i like blowers, turbos, cubic inches, but hp is hp and thats what i could afford at the time, i would have any of these "power adders" and thats all they are, all do the same thing.4th i can't believe some of the comments i got? i made it clear that it was my opinion and did not mean that i have the fastest car or wanted to race!(so why the comments about that?) but i guess i see now what to say and what not to say, and who my so called "freinds" were.5th there r alot of people using it good and bad ways, and yes there are problems from this just like all engines with or without power adders, but i still think it works, if used right, anyway sorry to ramble but i just can't believe some of the feed back i got, i know to each his own, and like i said i know now what to post and not to post, i will keep my opinions to my self!  thanks for the good posts!

Jeryd, take a chill pill mate....... :drama:
My "Baby" comment is just that, a comment, not a fact or statement direct against you.

Mate, you are new to forums, I know this but you're going to have to learn to just relax a little and understand the users tones as best as you can. All the smiles in the world can't make out someones tone.

I put smiles there to make sure you and everyone knew it's just a statement.
It's nothing more than some Ford owner saying; "Mopars are slow cars" whop-Dee! Take it on the chin and smile.  :ylsuper:

You asked for opinions, you got them.

Yes you did, sorry my fault. However you did start this topic about the subject and gave your opinion so unless you wanted us to just say: "That's nice" and leave then I'm not sure why you posted the topic.

hello all and i am sure i will get crap and everything else for writing this but to each his own! just my opinion!.......

i know this is prob. going to ruffle some feathers, ..........

You stated what you thought would happen.  :2thumbs:
NOS doesn't bother me, just I would never use it in any of my cars, like you, it's my opinion.

Since I got two Nitrous bottles sitting in my garage, I guess you know where I stand  :ylsuper:
Ones for my Duster, and the other one I thought about putting on the Challenger for a few quarter mile runs once I rebuild the motor.
I like the fact that when you want to use it you can, and if not then don't.
But like everything else, it's not for everyone.

NOS is cool for some, but not for everyone.   :grinyes:  It is a great way to make cheap HP.  I agree that power adders = HP and power is power. Blowers, turbos, and NOS are all dependable when built/applied correctly.   I wouldn't mind a little NOS for the Beast, but I would be afraid that she would flip over on her back under full throttle.....    :roflsmiley:   :smilielol:   :burnout:   :cooldancing:
