Wow, that looks incredible!!! My Cuda is just a few days away from being shot. I originally wanted a high impact color like limelight or curious yellow. Those are my favorites. Instead, I opted for the less noticeable, but rather sinister black. The way NYC cops are, I didn’t want to stand out.

Hey, that's my Barracuda  :smokin:

I've been away Jeepin' for a few days so this is my first look at the paint on the body - weird that I'm at home in the the same city as the car and the first time I see my paint is on a website based halfway across the world, isn't the internet amazing!  Paint looks sweet Anton - I'll be out as soon as I can get there (probably Saturday) :woohoo:

Hi Mark,

Today I sprayed underneath you barra with a grey matt 2pack, and sprayed the factory looking sublime overspray on it as well.
Also sprayed the inside of the quarters and front wheel well with the spray sealer as well.
And I rubbed and clear coated the bonnet and trunk lid.
Tomorow Iam going to cut and buff the hole car, I hope!

Anton

For every positive thing, there must be a negative - so just as the car comes out of paint and schedule is sort of looking up, the shop where the Barracuda was meant to be put back together suddenly goes into receivership on Wednesday without any sort of notice.  Had to go in yesterday and clean the place out of my car parts before the administrators lock it up.  have to go back today and move 2 engines/transmissions, and diff and make sure that I have everything (forgot my axles and headliner bows yesterday).  My 383 is half built (I had been trying to get him to finish it for months) and I have boxes of parts that I don't know exactly where they go (didn't do all of the break-down).  Now I have to pay to put everything into storage and re-assess the rebuild.  Seriously, this restoration has had its fair share of problems.  Oh, well, have pic of the body for you tomorrow. :bricks1:

Hope you can get all your stuff.  just an idea... maybe could you wite a small paragraph about the fact that your car was in a thousand pieces in there and get someone to sign that if you find something missing, they will get you in there to retrieve it?  After they close it down will it be hard to get action if you need it.

Well, I got all of my parts from the shop and the Barracuda is now home.  Paint came out great except for a blemish which will be fixed up after assembly.  I never realised just how many parts there are after disassembling a car - I have stuff every where and even had to hire a storage unit.  Only just fits into the garage with no room to work on it and it is a tight enough squeeze that the car will get damaged pushing it in and out repeatedly so project might be on hold for a while until I can find somewhere with more space.  Anyway, some pics of the car before it got trucked home:

In the end tried to keep it as accurate as possible with front black-outs and wheel arch stone guard as per the factory diagrams.  Underneath is grey primer with overspray replicated.
