Hi Mark,
I realy enjoy working on your car at our chrysler restoration shop, it gives me inspiration to finish my 70 RT challenger and i need it.
Iam the panel beater and spray painter at Pentastar parts and restorations
Today i mounted your go wing on the trunk and 2 pack primed it.
I hope to put the rest of the panels back on the car soon ,block it down and spray
four coats of sublime on it,then wet sand it with 1200 paper and flow coat it with four coats
of a high solid clear coat, to get maximum gloss.
Next car to be started is a 69 barracuda :woo:
Bad thing is i dont get time to work on my own car :working:

Now thats what I call a restoration thread - you get my updates as well as the painters on the same thread
I'll probably come out on Saturday morning again Anton - wanted to ask about the 4 coats of clear - any chance that will be too shiny?  I'm not sure I want it to be too bling, just a new shiny factory look.  I also need to confirm the wing colour - I'm guessing it is satin black although I have read that they were matt - anyone confirm.
That Chally is gonna look great in Brown with the burnt orange interior - go on, you know you want to ;)

I spent about 4 hours today bolting all the panels on the cuda .
I cannot wait to see the hole car painted.
Just need to block it down and paint it :violin:

Well i managed to block the barra down ,only took me four days  :bananasmi
First I blocked the hifill primer  with 320 wet and dry, reguide coat it and wet rub the whole car again with 600 grit paper, then I rubbed it down again with 1200 wet
I masked the car up on monday took about three hours to mask and sprayed four coats of sublime green, then on tuesday I painted the inside of the hood and trunk lid ,hood hinges ,tail light surounds, and lots of small parts.
Then on thursday i wet rubbed the car with 1200 wet and dry , that took about  three hours ,washed the spraybooth down with water, then I cleaned the car with wax and grease remover, remasked the hole car again and sprayed three coats of High Solid 2 pack clear coat with about 20 % thinner to get that nice wet look that i like. :droolingbounce:
I started work on thursday at 8 00am in the morning and finished at about 7 30pm that night
spraying the car. The only hard thing was that Mark made a car dolly, thats good but ,the roof of the car was to high to paint so I had to put some pallets down to reach the roof
Now i wish that my chally was that far along  :crying:
Today friday I rubbed and painted the outside of the hood and trunk lid, front and rear
valance and battery tray.So on tuesday i can rub and clear coat the hood trunk and valances
I love my JOB

God I love that color. I want to paint my next mopar that color no matter what it came from the factory painted. The progress looks great and the cuda looks to have a great finish on it. You will be proud when it is done.
