    Personally, I would never do a colored bumper with an argent grill.   Argent gets chrome.   Color keyed looks good either way

    I know the regular brackets mount to the bumper fine, and the brackets bolt to the car fine.  However, the length of the brackets might still be in the air.  The regular ones might be longer, but I won't be able to confirm it till I get the fenders back on the car.

    Bumper brackets are the same.

    Here is my wallpaper, I'm a challenger guy but this would be my choice for a Cuda.
    Notice that the actual inserts are argent still with black grills in them.

    I was looking for my pic of that car (Paul Wrights Hemi clone vert) I think it's one of the best quality Hemi Cuda Vert clones in existance. He did a fantastic job of restoring that car and loaded it with most every available option as well. GY3 Curious yellow looks STUNNING with that option combo.

    I would go with the body colored grill. Looks best on the 71 'cuda with or without the rubber bumpers.

    My first gut desire was to paint it the body color and that is what I am going to do.  The pictures really helped to seal my decision.  I will keep the gills argent silver with the cheese graters blacked out.  At that point I can always paint the edges of the graters silver or chrome to change the look if it does work for me.   :thinkerg:

    Go with Argent, it looks much more aggressive and to much Yellow, can be to much Yellow! The argent will bring out it's bite!!

    Who's repro grill did you use? Are you happy with it?

    I have one from Premiere Plastics.  I about 80% satisfied with it.  It has all the original marks as the original, but for an aftermarket grille I was hoping it would be more durable.  It feels almost as breakable and in fact have cracked a few areas.  Other than that, there is some flashing that needs to be cleaned up and prep work to be done for the paint.

    When going with a colored grill, the inside of the gills should be a textured argent. My particular car shows the inside of the gills to be yellow. When it was painted, it was not masked off. This has been on my to do list for some time now. Having said that, if you are building a semi custom...then originality go out the window. I like the colored grill with the argent inside the gills. I think mine has too much yellow the way it is. The car looks better with the body colored grill though. I have received many compliments on it.  :2cents:
