Nope, no one can. I have taken the disc into a specialist and he said it was a pre-set recording.
I took it in when I had my car "show" poster made as a side-issue.

I'm sure I'll find the button or setting to make it record at a more reasonable bit-rate.  :bigsmile:

Open up Windows Movie Maker and save your file as a lower bit rate.  I saved a copy of a 30 minute "pinks" episode and got it down to a good quality 100mb file.

I then put it on my computer as an FTP download, so I can get it from wherever I am.

Thanks Shelby but honestly I tried everything I could......I couldn't find that option and I'm not even 100% sure if I have Windows Movie maker but I will look into, thanks for the advice......it would be nice to know that what ever I tape isn't in-vein.

I was thinking of going this option or with Keisler.  How much of a difference in accleration is there with the extra gears?  Bet it keeps you planted to your seat with the smaller drop in rpm between gears.

The Kiesler is almost (if not) double the price. Gear Vendors claim it makes your car "Up to 28% Faster". I can see why, as like any OD it's a torque multiplier. 4.10 Gears react like 10.05 ratio in 1st, 1st-Over is like having 7.84 ratio and so on.....so it's a really wild ride with or without modifications.

So far I haven't been able to test it thoroughly enough to feel it's full potential but what I can tell you is it sounds really, really, awesome going through the 6 shifts (even at 70% throttle). Yip, the ratios drop half what they use to so you stay in the power curve and don't waste time in the "unwanted rpm range". This is also great for circle track or "corner" driving as you now have an extra gear between your existing ones, so instead of taking a corner in 2nd-Direct you can either go to that or drop down into 2nd-Over (4th) to keep those rpms up and maintain speed.

To drop down to 2nd-Over, OD must be on in 3rd when you shift into 2nd. To drop down to 2nd-Direct, OD must be off in 3rd when you shift to 2nd. So basically no matter the gear you're in if you're in or out of OD is what ever the gear below will be in when you shift.  ;) It definitely keeps you planted in your seat, the shifts are hard, like a performance race Auto and it sounds like one to going through gears. I love it as it doesn't sound Auto, nor manual, has it's own sound to it.

I would wait until we have it all sorted and I give the all clear as GVs and my team are working together to get this thing working 101%. So far we have it at about 85%. I'll keep you posted......

The module is as good as well get it, it is a little inconsistent and still kicks out any given rpm in 3rd-O.
Adam has made a bypass switch so when you hit the switch for OD in 3rd-Over (the problem gear) you push the button to "hold" it there (so it doesn't drop out), it stays in until you flick the switch to turn it off, when you turn it off it allows the module to kick OD out when the rpms/speed are right (automatically) so it's basically running right.

Good news: GV's have decided to pull this module off sale and create a better one. The new one will run off the rpm signal like it does now, however, the final OD (3rd-Over) will run off mph and they are talking about actually making the OD come on Automatically at a given mph (I'm guessing around 45-50mph) so this is great news. They are just having so many errors and faults with this unit they decided to create a new one.

Bad news: The new module will take 3-6 months to make and get working ("hopefully") 100%.
So, in the mean time the Challenger is 100% to drive just I have to manually turn OD on/off using a switch on the console that Adam made for the stock unit, so I still have my unmolested console plate for when the new unit is ready.

Gear Vendors have written on my warranty and made a point of me getting the new module for free and being the first to get it when complete. I'm happy, gives us some peace of mind knowing there is nothing that we can do and that the module is to blame, bad components and electrics have been the cause.

I've found that shifting from 1st to 1st-Over is a complete waste of time (with this unit anyhow). It takes a good 2-3 seconds once you've hit the foot switch for it to change into 1st-Over by that time you're almost over reving. We think this is the modules fault and hopefully with the new module it will be cleared. Even then I think it's better to launch in 2nd direct and let the car do the first shift which is quick as and basically within 20ft of taking off, then hit 2nd-Over manually (instantaneous) then shift to 3rd-Direct (OD kicks out Automatically and instantaneously) then hit OD and cruise with the switch holding in place. This is for the mean time anyhow....I still maintain my 1, 2, and 3 gears either in Drive or from 1st.....no OD has to be used if not wanted. So, it was good to take her for a test run, man she feels good with 3.91s!!

So, Lucy will be with me in a week or so for at least 3+ months......until then it's going to be all 'Cuda work.
Sorry about the long posts, I just figure this is good info for others looking at getting one.

Today, as I was losing speed climbing a hill, with a 9000 pound trailer behind me, the six speed sounded great! (under/direct)

Can't comment as yet as the 'Cuda's trans was slipping real bad and with carb and throttle problems.
It's off road getting restored now with a possible stroker kit on the way for the 'Cuda so it won't be a fair match.

If they made one, yes. They won't make one for a manual trans as it will not work. It needs a shift position sequencer and with the rods of a manual etc it is not possible. With the TF-727/904 boxes you have the slap stik mech that when moves shifts the sequencer at the same time.

They still offer the standard module GV unit, you have to click OD out which IMO would be a waste of time splitting gears as getting it perfect is impossible even Ronnie Soxs would have trouble. You have to time the OD out button perfectly, with the delay, make sure the gear has shifted etc. If you get it wrong you throw 12,000rpms+ at your engine, not good. I wouldn't have got the OD unit if it were the stock system other than it gives you an OD gear (4th) but splitting gears would be a hassle and you'd end up being slower.

It shouldn't be that hard to figure out how to split your gears manually, I wouldn't think.......................how would it freewheel? WIll the GV get stuck between gears?

You could've used a 518 and used a switch to do the same thing. It sounds like your guy was capable of making his own controller anyway.  With the 518, you could have used the adjustable pressure and vacuum switches to control the shifts.  So it sounds like you are back to a 727 with OD, which is what the 518 is.

I hope they are going to give you a free updated contro lunit once they get it figured out...its the least they owe you.

I like the idea of the extra gears...always wanted my 727 to have a gear between 2-3 for high speed passing.  Hope they get it worked out with the auto sequencer...can't wait. 

I have 3.55 gears...how would that work with the GV?  Also have a 10" tight converter w/ 2800-3000 stall...would that be a problem?
