Amber fog lights

I picked these up cheap at Carlisle and wanted some opinions on if they look good or not.  They give the car a different look and I think people will respond about the car saying the orange one with the amber lights.  Anyway let me know, and I know it would look killer if the car was plum crazy.

My question is, how do they work? Where I'm going with this is I have custom low-beam lights, but it takes some of the intensity away from the lighting. If I'm on a street with no street lights, I really have to be careful. Since these are the hi-beams, I guess this isn't so much a problem for you? I like the look.

I ran them in my T/A as high beams for years when it was a daily driver. I stayed out late all the time and being in a coastal town rain and fog were common. What I liked about them, even when it was not raining was the fact that they light up objects either in the road or off to the sides. Clear high beams light up the roadway itself, where the ambers let the road stay dark but show up foriegn objects better.

It is a bit tough to explain if you have not used them before.

The alignment nubs are located differently too, I had to notch my headlight buckets to use them.

I like it.   

It makes the car stand out more.  It looks stock but with a twist.  Like it's a driver's sorta car that you need the extra illumination.

I like those better than the ones I have on my bumper but they were there when I bought the car so I just left them there.  Might take them off or put them below the bumper.

You know I wasn't too sure at first.  Now that they have been on I really do like them.  Kinda reminds me of how they would be on the street back in the day.  The low beams work just fine and the amber fogs light up very well, casting a nice yellowish sunshine glow that does p/u on objects better than the regular high beams.  Thanks for the replies, I guess for now they will stay. 
I will say that if the front end how more chrome or shine to it, then the clears would stay all the way.

They look OK here, BTW, the hood alignment looks pretty good too, did you do any more tweeking on it? Back to lights, I've also seen the blue shade of high beam (I think Nick has them on his Chally), can anyone shed some light (pun intended) on this varity? My wife likes the look of them, I'm not a purist but tend to lean toward the traditional. ? ?

In a way your car would be perfect for the blue lights, as long as they aren't too dark.  The white paint, the pearl, I can see it now
