Has anyone ever seen these Hemi Valve covers
« on: August 02, 2006 - 09:47:04 AM »
I am trying to buy oil filler cap and breathers for these. I explained to the tech guy at Mancini racing in Mich. what I have, and he claims that these are Mickey Thompson covers and not MPs. I know they are MP and not M/T because I got them directly from a guy at Chysler in Detroit for a magazine article in Hi-Po Mopar. Now it was probably 8 years ago but I should be able to get something for them, no? The filler/breather hole to left and above left-most plug is threaded and is about 1 3/8 inside dia. Any ideas out there?

Yeah, find a tech guy that knows the difference between Mopar Performance and Mickey Thompson!
The breather mounts look a lot like the ones on the Donovan valve covers for the 392 hemi. If you check with Bob Walker at http://www.hothemiheads.com/ I'm sure he can give you the dimensions on the Donovan breathers. He might even be able to help you out on the oil filler too.
