Have you remembered where else to get pads???
Also since I am in a little rural town in Kentucky, what kind of place actually repairs dashes like ours? ???

Has anyone besides CP had any dealings with Just Dashes ? I've had a few correspondences with them but haven't sent them any work yet. All the magazines seem to have either used thier services on various projects or written articles about the company, but it's the customers and thier $$$ that determines a service providers success or failure. I'm particularly curious about the plastic interior panel refurbishing they offer but i'd like to hear some other opinions (regarding this and other services) before plunking my hard earned pennies down. Like Paul Harvey says - what's the 'rest of the story' ?

I just got back from a musclecar auction that had a 70 Challenger that had the dash redone by Just Dashes.  The color was a good match as was the grain on the vinyl, but the stitching was wavy.  Along the top front where there are 2 parallel lines of stitching, the distance between the lines varied up to 1/8", very uneven.  They paid $595 to have it done !

Wow Pistol Gripper, that does suck!  There's a guy in the area who has a really nice '70 Challenger R/T that was just recently completed.  A friend of my fathers owns his own bodyshop and he did all the bodywork for this guy.  I stopped over one night to talk with him about my car.  Anyways, I looked into the interior and saw that it was pretty much flawless.  I looked to the dash and saw everything was perfect on that, too.  I asked my bodyman where the guy had the dash redone, he didn't remember the name, but it was excellent.  I guess the guy really paid for such a nice dash though; a cool $1,000.00 is what it cost him!!! :o ::)

What really sucks is how much the car went for.  It was originally a fairly uncommon 1970  318  3spd on the floor car.  It now is a 340 Auto.  The paint job looked nice, some bubbles on the top where the vinyl top used to be.  You could stick your finger in between the edge of the passenger door and the rear quarter ( kinda wide seam )  No exhaust tips ( I bought them earlier as parts ) No trunk mat, they sold it seperately too.  Missing one hood emblem.  Bad dash, interior nice otherwise.  $12K
