After pulling the driveshaft and rear tranny seal to replace the seal and fix a leak I was having, I discovered that trying to pound the new seal in while lying on my back was a pain, at best.
Rather then destroy the seal trying, I took it to the shop instead.
Anyway, the shop told me that they replaced the seal but noticed that it was still leaking. The guy thought that there was something wrong with the driveshaft yoke that was causing it. He mentioned a plug in the yoke.
I didn't even think that fluid entered the yoke at all.
Does this sound right?
To my eyes, the leak still looks like it's coming from the seal.
Yoke bushing seems fine, by the way. No yoke movement when it's seated in the tranny.
